I don't mean to flip into Debian Zealot mode but how can you guys
possibly cope with this crap?

FC3 has had a shelf life of what? 6 months? On top of that you've
mostly had to use 3rd party packages to get the functionality you need.
And now it's EOL and you can expect little, if any, official
retro-support and yet you keep downloading the FCn+1 install media.

Let me tell you about mute.

mute is a tiny computer I purchased 5 years ago. It mostly handles my
mail and a dozen or so other things like subbversion repositories. I've
installed it once, and it's been continously upgraded, mostly software,
sometimes hardware, throughout that time.

Run that again: 1 computer, 1 installation, 5 years, security updates
during the entire time.

Now _that_ it what I call a reliable and trustable distribution.
