seth vidal posted a yum based update method to move from FC3 to FC4, 
iirc its even linked from the FC4 release notes / release announcement. 
Take a look at that.

In case you are interested : FC5 is slated for release late 1st Qtr 2006.

Neither - Once FC3 moves into unsupported ( in another 15 days time ) 
there will be no more security fix's or software updates released via 
either Fedora Core or Fedora Extras. The project will move into Legacy 
mode - there some of the more critical updates are still back ported + 
released, but dont expect everything to be as well maintained as its 
done during the Life of a Fedora Core lifecycle. And, so far, there 
looks to be little or no Legacy mode support for Fedora Extras 3.

( completely OT post, it has nothing to do with the OP's request - but I 
thought, might as well get it in )
