I'm not entirely sure which strange universe you inhabit, but it
doesn't appear to be the same one as me. One of my few complaints
about RHEL is that it includes too many packages. Any halfway
competent admin knows to only install the packages they use. RHEL
includes far more than I'm comfortable with in the base install, and I
find myself wanting to remove packages, not install more. RHEL already
includes everything you need to administer the system, and I struggle
to see how the availability of half a billion extra packages under
Debian is a benefit for anyone but completists.
