Is there a definition anywhere as to what a new machine is?  Can you add  
more memory, DVD writer but not replace the motherboard???  I seem to  
remember that it checks if you have changed "key" components and if  
"three" change you need to reactivate?  Does that make the oem license no  
longer valid?

Is this a sign they are no longer making money hand over fist and need to  
fill in the leaky holes in their revenue stream?
