[Gllug] Fedora 3 kills X on my (Athlon/nvidia) box

I upgraded to Fedora 3 (from 2) on one of my boxes - an Athlon with an
nvidia card - and now X is dead. It fails reporting a problem with the
mouse - no core pointer - but I suspect that is just a proxy for
something else.

I have followed all the various instructions on the FAQ to deal with the
nvidia problem but to no avail. Anybody know of another good resource on
this problem?
