[Gllug] XDA II(i) and Linux?

Is there anyone who can tell me how well Linux can work with the XDA 
phones (basically a PocketPC phone)?

Can I sync my (Evolution) calendar/contacts with it?
Can I use it to access the Internet with from my notebook (when 
travelling)?

And - also - anyone got actual experience with those phones, and are they 
any good / reliable?
