[Gllug] Old Kmail mail to new Kmail setup

Hi,
 I have just installed ProMEPIS 2005 B04 as a trial on a spare box. In the 
interest of continuity I added my old Mandrake 9.2 disk to the machine so I 
could import the Kmail from it to the new disk.
 However Kmail 1.7.1 (on KDE 3.3.1) does not seem to understand importing from 
a previous version of Kmail.
 Is there a slick way of doing this?
