Beware that the German c't magazine (whose opinion I highly value) ran
an article 3 weeks ago (http://www.heise.de/ct/05/14/006/) about how
the Asus support has deteriorated in the last few months since
consolidating all repair and support into one centre.  Note that the
article talked about the Notebook section but a reader's letter in the
subsequent issue complained about equal problems with a 'repaired'
motherboard.
