Do lazy allocation - ie, on first bootup, watch the DHCP server logs
and each time it hands out an IP addr, for a MAC addr you've not seen
before, capture that pair & enter it as a permanent mapping. You might
even be able to script some nasty perl to watch the DHCP server leases
log & automate this.
