You mean it'll work with just :am:co#80:do=^J:?  I must admit I added :bs: 
to my dumb tty def as it was silly editing near the end of a long line and 
having all the preceeding characters reprinted - taking forever on a 300 
baud (dial-up) line...oh the joys of my old GPO modem...I was real glad to 
get a 1200/2400 baud replacement (that took up a fraction of the space)...
