[Gllug] OT: New arrival & status of open source in the UK.

I' ve just passed through London and will probably be returning if I
find employment in London. Coming from the Cape LUG (in South Africa)
I'm wondering how all things open source are in the UK and more
specifically in the financial centre that is London.

I've been looking for employment in the UK and haven't noticed too
many open source positions. Of course in SA most open source
postitions are advertised only within open source circles, I certainly
hope this is the reason for the scarcity of
advertised positions in the UK.

So let me know how open source is doing in London and / or the UK.
