Oh, for goodness sake! Why is this descending into corporate (or
personal?) abuse?
It's perfectly obvious that if you can get the same effect (easy,
sensible quoting) through a method (top quoting with summary points)
that is easier than another method (interspersed quoting in Notes) then
you'd be a fool not to do it.
