You may notice that my DNS also lists name servers outside my house, BIND pushes
changes to them.
Part of the reason that I do it this way:

* easy to update (do it locally & bind pushes)
* teaches me the problems of running your own servers - I suppose not everyone is
  a masochist like myself.
