I can recommend http://vgsmail.com/ - again, you'll pay (4p per
message, worldwide AFAIK) but it's very easy to use and, from my
experience, pretty quick and reliable.  It's a non-profit
share-the-costs type thing, rather than a commercial service in
itself.
