[GLLUG] Slightly OT - Netiquette at work

I don't debate that. However as a Lotus Notes sufferer, I heinously
top post all the time when repyling to just about everybody so I can
get through my correspondance before it gets dark.

On the flip side, I have two theories about why not top posting annoys
some people:
1. It breaks up their original email, so they can't admire it again
after reading your reply.
2. For those that don't normally intersperse the original mail
content, probably the only time that they do consider doing it is when
they're having an e-mail argument with someone. That's the moment
they're really trying to reason with someone..however it probably just
means they feel defensive when they see the format, like their points
are being picked apart by some pernickety character, and it feels
aggressive.

But I didn't do psychology, that's just me taking a break from bug-hunting.
