I recently bought a CNet CWC-854 card for my wife's laptop (running 
openSuSE 10, which includes the rt2500 driver), and it works like a 
dream.  Cheap, too -- got it for just £11.99 (or something like that) + 
postage, though I can't remember from where.  If you don't have the 
Linux driver, it can be downloaded from http://www.ralinktech.com
