If you are happy using this script, then fine. As I said before though, it

I think it is messy and has stability issues (e.g. I used to see problems if
you kill modem_run whilst the ppp connection is still up). That is why I am
using the kernel drivers. The script you are using does not relate to the
kernel drivers.
There are two projects. The user space (old) driver page is at
<http://speedtouch.sourceforge.net>. The kernel driver page is at
<http://linux-usb.sourceforge.net/SpeedTouch>.
