Depends on the age of the device though...

I must say, more and more stuff Just Works<tm> these days.  Very
impressive to see -- though I suspect it's more that the
manufacturers[1] have _finally_ learnt the hard lesson that
standardization helps everyone.

[1]: except the webcam manufacturers.
