Which is perfectly legimate. I've seen the GPL mentioned in a few MS
licences and on their NT 4.0 Resource Kit they released a load of GNU
utilities ported to W32.

I have no problem with Microsoft using Free Software in their
products, in fact I think it's great.

1) Software should be free for anyone to use as long as they respect
the GPL. We can't pick and choose who this freedom applies to. As long
as MS respect the conditions of the GPL there is no problem.

2) MS using Free Software weakens their argument as to why the GPL is
"viral" "akin to Communism" etc etc
