[Gllug] recovering files from USB flash drive

I would *never* trust my only copy of an important file to a flash
drive.  By all means use one to carry data, but make sure it's arrived
intact at its destination before deleting it at source.

How did you copy said files?  Did you remember to umount the drive
before you removed it.  It sounds awfully like the space is allocated
but the data aren't there.
