[Gllug] Wireless stops Virtual Networking

Hi,

I was given a wireless card and manage to get it working with
ndiswrapper. Which is great because I need to move this machine to my
bedroom (no phone socket). Unfortunatelly I've found that 3 utilities
can't access the Internet any longer. These are the "emulators":

* Vmware (WinXP)
* Win4Lin (Win 98 SE)
* CrossOver Office (IE 6.0)

Which I use continuously to test websites.

Any clues on how I could get these to connect to the Internet again?

I've been trying all the possible permutations I can think of, but so
far nothing works. I also tried bridging eth0 (disconnected) to
wlan0(live) to see if that worked using bridge-utils.

http://linux-net.osdl.org/index.php/Bridge

and then restart dhcpcd on "mybridge". The Linux Desktop didn't
complain, but the programs above couldn't connect still.

If it helps, at the moment my ifconfig is looking like this:

eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr XX.XX.XX.XX.XX.XX
          UP BROADCAST NOTRAILERS MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0

vmnet1    Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr XX.XX.XX.XX.XX.XX

          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0

          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:0 (0.0 b)  TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)

wlan0     Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr XX.XX.XX.XX.XX.XX
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:7373 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:6048 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0

          Interrupt:3 Memory:fbffe000-fc000000

And I am using the following hardware to connect to my wireless router:

Wireless: Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11b/g
Ethernet controller: 3Com Corporation 3c905C-TX/TX-M

I am currently running Slackware 10.2 and customized kernel 2.6.14.3

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

cheers.
