The whole thing is just so much "Security Theatre".  

These "liquid bombs" are obvious nonsense - do a little basic research on TATP 
(their supposed explosive of choice), and you'll see that there is NO WAY it 
could be assembled from its component parts in an aeroplane toilet.

The "tourists" (Bush's pronunciation) could use dozens of easier methods to 
down a plane.  A huge proportion of the airside staff at the London airports 
are Muslim - and planes don't fly well when fuel's contaminated (as just one 
possible example).

This "security clampdown" is just to divert attention away from what's really 
going on.
