[Gllug] Apache and chroot

I'm planning to hang a small server off of my broadband router and I'm 
planning to run scp, ssh and http services. I don't see any reason why I 
shouldn't chroot the applications, just to teach myself how to do it. 
I'm a newbie with Linux.

Does anyone know of a simple one-stop HOWTO on the web? I'm planning to 
use either a single-purpose distro or build something from Ubuntu.
