I'm trying to RAID an existing box with md right now. Using LVM is
surely helping --- pvmove is far preferable to dd --- but it's still
astonishingly fiddly. pvmove everything off one disk, repartition it
with a lump at the end, pvmove back in there, et seq ad nauseam.

*hopes for RAID reshaping support to land in the main tree soon*
