What currently happens is this:

- BigBank charges consumer $25 for sending {foo} by email
- a big batch of {foo}s get marked as spam and doesn't arrive,
  loading the ISP's spamfilters
- the users are mightily pissed off; they paid for {foo} and
  now it hasn't turned up

The bonded sender idea is meant to fix this.
