   "Rubber gloves" could really be latex, PVC, neoprene, etc.
   I think it is fairly obvious which materials generate static when you see
sparks fly as you take them off. We were warned against wearing a tie or
other loose clothing which could accidentally brush against sensitive
electronic components, but often spent months spraying new carpets with
anti-static liquid. We had to use rubber-wheeled trolleys to move heavy
equipment, and often received painful shocks as we moved past metal pipes.
