I have been a die hard Apple fan for more than 20 years. I have a BIG 
Apple tattoo on my left arm but after I played with Kubuntu for fun for 
a few days I was hooked. It's smooth, you can feel that lots of people 
who care work on it and it runs just fine on older hardware.

Don't get me wrong, I do still like Mac's and OSX is very nice but being 
forced into an expensive hardware upgrade to enjoy the latest eye candy 
just makes no sense.

Apple and Microsoft have another player on the desktop market.
