[Gllug] /dev/raw1394 MISSING ALL TOGETHER MODULE LOADED OK sais lsmod!?

HI
I have searched recent posts but found no issues re: ieee1394.
Basicaly KINO is not working as it can not talk to raw1394 as 
it is missing in /dev. Any pointers?

I am happy to deinstall and install again whatever from source to make this
work. I have to do this or my uni work would have to be done on Macintosh in
the college :-/
