Take a trundle on the new DLR line to City Airport.
Worth the trip anyway to see all the new stations.

Stop at Thames Barrier PArk, which is on the North side of the barrier.
Go out of the DLR station via the concrete walkway, and have a look at
the area with the nice ornamental fountains below you.
