[Gllug] Getting Microsoft off a Dell purchase - anyone done this?

I'd lay odds that Dell dont do ANY tests on the hardware!
Just assemble the machine (with a hard disc already pre-loaded) and ship it out.
Probably cheaper to do this and accept the few that dont work will have to be
replaced than test each one properly.

A bit like banks not bothering to check signatures on cheques apart from the
big ones   - cheaper to save the labour and pay out for the odd forgery!
