[Gllug] Strange happenings in Gnome GUI

Hi all

I switched on my laptop the other day and the gnome toolbar has moved from
the top of the screen to the middle of the screen??

If I change the orientation of the bar eg left, right, bottom, it just stays
in the middle of the screen but changes direction like it is on the leftside
etc..

I cannot find where to check the settings in .gnome, .gnome2.

Any ideas
