Hello all,

An update and a general reminder about our meeting on Saturday 24th June
starting at 1300hrs.

I'm happy to announce another presentation for the event.

Richard Cottrill and Alex Sayle will be presenting a talk on "Service
Orientated Architecture"

SOA: The antithesis to GNU/Linux
Service Oriented Architecture is the buzzword du jour and is being lost
among vendor garbage. Alex Sayle and Richard Cottrill will present a
short talk about what SOA is, is not, and how it's the antithesis to
GNU/Linux.

Alex is a sysadmin attempting to get his organisation to toe the SOA
line. Richard is an IT consultant attempting the same thing at another
company.

This is in addition to talks from Dave Cross (ORM Mapping), George
Wright (kNX) and Huw Lynes (Grid Computing) so this should be an
informative and fun meeting.

There is more information on the GLLUG website about this event.

Also GLLUG is taking a summer expedition to the *Buckinghamshire*
countryside to visit Bletchley Park on Sunday 9th July. Please join the
GLLUG Social mailing list for more information and check the web page.
