I thought GEM predated the PC. I do remember that Digital's PCs were
majorly overpriced.

But a memory keeps popping into my head that Bill Gates nearly shut
down the Windows project before they brought out version 3.1. Am I
remembering correctly or is this just the first signs of senility?
