I've bought 3 or 4 DNUK desktops which they don't seem to do anymore.

They haven't been especially quiet - but about average compared to other
beige boxes I see/hear around.

I've been very happy with them.

Though my desktop was a lot quieter before I added extra disks, graphics
card, DVB card - and shoved it in a tight space ... the fans started
working harder.

They have been OK value - nothing special -

What is nice is that the extras are good value - and they let you opt
out of the stuff you don't need.

My reasons for using them are
1) no money for microsoft
2) hardware known to work with Linux (even then they used to ship
laptops with winmodems)
3) even though they used to supply RedHat and I wanted Debian - at least
I get to test it out and note down settings before re-installing

the workstations seem to have come down in price a lot since I last
looked - and they now supply debian pre-installed -- ooh -- with RAID as
an option ...
