Well compare the power draw of 1kw for a single 8 CPU box to that
of 4 separate 2 CPU boxes, and I suspect the single 8 CPU box will
come out a winner. Now just add Xen on top of it & you can make it
look like 4 separete 2 CPU boxes again :-)

HP's DL585  servers which can have upto 4x dual-core CPUs come with 
dual 870W power supplies, and according to the data sheet have an 
input draw of 1055 W for a fully speced out box
