[Gllug] MondoRescue insanely slow?

I'm just trying to do a big backup to DVD with MondoRescue.

After several hours, it finally got round to assembling the first DVD.

It's now been 172 minutes, and it's 28% of the way through DVD
#1. Currently, it seems to think it will need 6200 minutes more to do
the backup.

Is this normal? Have I missed something obvious (and no, I'm not using
bzip2)?
