It will work whenever there are no jpg files in the current directory,
as the shell globbing will not expand *.jpg
Whenever there are jpg files in the current directory, the shell will
expand *.jpg to a space-separated list of those files before passing to
the find command.
You should read up on shell globbing and how it works.
