For the files it can't find:

touch /etc/webmin/webmin.acl

Then at least they will exist so you shouldn't get that error... if it will
work, well one way to find out :p

Subject: [Gllug] Debian: Help with problems cleaning up consequences of an
extended 'duh' moment...

Could someone help me dig myself out of a hole I just dug?

I am running Debian Sarge on a remote VM and apt-got webmin.

Since this installed 1.18 and the current release is 1.29 with some bits
I needed I updated Webmin using its own utility which worked fine (I
know...)

Happiness evaporated when I did an aptitude update/upgrade which tried
to update Webmin (I know, I wasn't thinking...)

I then made matters worse by trying to manually delete the 1.29 install
(which was in the Webmin default tree).

I now have a broken Webmin that I can't up or down grade - it's hanging
on Webmin-core.

I tried messing with the removal scripts (commenting out bits) but that
did not help either so I put it all back.

I've tried all the suggestions I have found so far for fixing this and
they have not worked.

Output is as follows:

ker:~# apt-get -f install

Any suggestions? I'm an escaped (and recovering) Windows admin but this
is the first time I have managed to break Debian this way!

TIA
