Yep, I can vouch for that. I once sent an Acer laptop back for repair 
after the screen went dead.

It took them 3 months to repair and return it. During that time they 
refused to give me any estimate as to when the repair would be complete, 
or to even confirm that they had received the machine.

Needless to say, I will never buy from that company again.
