[Gllug] Extending LVM volumes

This is only available in slightly newer versions of LVM than that
which ships with e.g. Debian Sarge, by the way.  I had to do
something similar to this recently and was confused for a short
while about the "missing" pvresize command.

Installing newer lvm tools from source may also require a newer
kernel (I was already running a newer kernel so didn't check).
