I certainly would. I was bloody fuming when the BBC started their IMP
trial (Internet Media Player or whatever they called it) and found it
was for Windows only due to Microsoft's DRM system being deployed. I
asked about support for other platforms and they said they were
looking into support OS X and Linux, but couldn't because they had
"limited funds due to the TV license payer's money being used to fund
this trial" (or something like that).

The IMP trial uses Kontiki (about to be owned by Verisign - AGHH!)
which supposedly specialises in DRM protection and content streaming
and downloadables.

The thing is, we've heard it time and time again that the BBC intends
to reach the widest possible audience and make things as compatible as
possible for everybody - from Windows to OS X to Linux, and so on.
But equally we've heard Microsoft, Microsoft, Microsoft banded about
far too often and it's beginning to look like Microsoft has lifted the
sheets of the bed and is beckoning to the BBC in a very seductive
manner. All without consultation to the TV license payers as usual.
