   Perhaps I am worrying for no reason, it may be just part of the upgrading
process, but it does appear strange to me.
   The packages are shown in magenta before I hit g, each line starting with
"idA", showing a negative size change, and ending with two columns showing
identical version numbers. More than half of the base system are shown with
missing dependencies, including near the top of the list

[SECURITY] [DSA 1184-2] New Linux 2.6.8 packages fix several vulnerabilities

   The new kernel version should be

    Intel IA-32 architecture         2.6.8-16sarge5
