A sort of pg_stat_activity over time, yes.

It shouldn't be too terribly difficult to extend the statistics
collector to acquire this.

Indeed (well, ideally the DB should be able to do this already:
`indexes' are a vile non-Codd abomination, as indeed are `tables'.)
