Good call. It is the correct way to do it. It lets you easily avoid
sending to lists, it will keep a record of who it's send messages to so
they only get one, etc, etc.

Naysaying about such things is just unhelpful because like it or not,
people want them. Just like they want HTML email and to send files via
email.
