[Gllug] ongoing ubuntu problem

I have reinstalled Ubuntu. Ok so in Network settings it says that 'The  
Interface ra0 is active' but there is no connection to the internet...  
I can get to it with a wired connection so I dont see it as a firewall  
problem. It is't a wep problem because i have tryed with it turned  
off. Not sure what to do really. What should I be looking for?
