Whilst I was looking for information on job control, I found the 'jobs
-x' command. The relevant except from the man page is as follows:
"If the -x option is supplied, jobs replaces any jobspec found in
command or arguments with the corresponding process group ID, and
executes command, passing it arguments, returning its exit status."
This doesn't appear to do what you want, but neither can I fully work
out what the command does. Does anyone know how to use this?
