Ok I have a linksys g usb adapter with speed booster - apparently  
works with linux but not very well. Went to linux emporium but the pci  
card is out of stock the pcmcia card I can't use and the usb stick  
will be out soon:

but not out now.

I emailed the bloke at linux emporium who said the stick would work  
with Fedora but wasn't clear if it would work with ubuntu. And said  
that "An alternate card from another maker works with Debian, Ubuntu  
and SUSE..." but didn't mention who this was. Better email back then  
and ask... Has anyone got a brick wall I can bang my head against. My  
one is broken.
