  Some flat screens use up to twice the power used by a similar size CRT
screen. Some early plasma screens were very power hungry, some LCD screens
also get very hot. Read the real specifications, if they are available.
   Modern computer power supplies may be more efficient, but the computers
generally require higher power input. This is obviously a good thing if the
increased performance can be used, and does not result in longer idle times.
