The whole point of extradition treaties is to deal with this so that 
people accused of crimes are tried where the crime is supposed to have 
occured rather than being taken elsewhere as it is most convenient to 
ensure they cannot present a defence.

Why should a person accused of committing an offence in the UK be taken to 
the USA and tried there?
