As a very belated comment on Powerpoint:

Call me a 'grumpy old man' if you like, but I have always hated 'slide
presentations' of any sort, whether using powerpoint or old fashioned
slides in a rotating carousel.

They very rarely seem to communicate anything terribly useful, just
superficial stuff (and 'spin' quite often). And they usually end up giving
me a headache (I must remember to carry some analgesics whenenever I attend
any presentations!).

Likewise another pet hate is User Manuals on CD ROMS - another good way to
get a neck/headache! Give me a good old BOOK any time; you can read it
in an armchair/at home/in bed/on a train/plane etc and can flip back and
forth. Sorry, I know hyperlinked manuals allow you to 'flip', but I still
find a good old fashioned book by far the best thing!

Tim
